Join Me At The Table
Hi! My name is Julie Openshaw. I am a beloved child of God whom is an overcomer of many challenges of life and forgiven of much as I journey onward from the already won victory of my Savior Jesus Christ.
I am married since 1988 to a wonderful man also following Christ, with whom I raised three children together. I am a cherished grandma of three and Goldendoodle mama of two. I adore spending time in the Presence of my Lord Jesus Christ and with my family! I am always growing more and more, through discovery, the knowledge of God and His grace with awe and wonder! Being alongside other hungry and thirsty people seeking to be in God’s Presence by way of finding glory in His creation, the Word of God, prayer, fellowship, suffering, praise and worship, etc is a favorite place of mine to be. Yes, I included suffering in that list! It is not a typo…LOL. The Lord uses it all for His glory and creates a blessing from it. It is my experience that a spiritual growth spurt is usually preceded by suffering that eventually produces more abundant fruit and beauty from that humbled place. We learn how to please God more through suffering and gain a better grasp of grace and God’s goodness in His economy.
I have led womens Bible study groups since 2006 by God’s grace and with much joy and privilege to join our journeys together in Christ with much amazement as we witness His good work in us all and be encouraged!
Other pastimes I love are dates with my husband Jeff, cooking (eating too, of course!) and preparing to host family celebrations, playing games of many kinds, travel itinerary planning, whether dreaming or actually booking the trip as we are able…and of course I always look forward to “coffee chats” with friends!! Interestingly, most of those favorite pastimes often happen at a table as part of the experience; therefore tables have become a sentimental piece of furniture to me that conjure up warm memories that are dear to my heart. Just think of all the intimate secrets and stories a table could tell if it could express the memories of its life history and all that took place there!
The table is important and an intimate place to Jesus Christ as well! He prepares it for you and I as He calls us to feast and fellowship with Him and each other, now and for eternity.
So pull up a chair…your seat is saved for you to join me at the table. All of you are welcome…just come hungry for witnessing more of God and to BE ENCOURAGED as I share my story that He is writing in my life!
